MSc Ghorbani Ghezeljehmeidan

PhD student
Electronic Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM), Department of Microelectronics

Themes: Micro/Nano System Integration and Reliability

Biography

Amir completed his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in University of Tabriz, Iran (2018). He continued with masters’ studies in Mechanical engineering at Politecnico di Torino (Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Turin, Italy). His thesis on Natural language processing and Machine Learning approaches in the field of materials for energy applications with focus on superconductors filled the gap on simulation\experiment limitations in new materials discovery with desirable properties. During his Master he collaborated with the THEOS group at EPFL (Lausanne, Swiss) and IBM (Zurich, Swiss).

Starting from May 2023, he is pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics in the EXPLAIN project. His main technical interest is to study component inspections on electronical products and relation with lifetime utilizing different XAI techniques and try to push the limits in the current approaches.
